Calculate Your Potential Savings!

The sample projects described on the following pages demonstrate the types and levels of incentives that may be available to owners and design professionals through New Jersey SmartStart Buildings.

Calculations

Early-Stage New Construction: Larger Project

Example 1 calculates incentives for a new 70,000 sq.ft. school. In this example, the customer’s design team participates in the program from the concept stage of the project.

Later-Stage New Construction: Larger Project

Example 2 calculates incentives for a new 600,000 sq.ft. hospital for which the initial design has been completed. Additional effort by the customer’s design team can conform the project to New Jersey SmartStart Buildings parameters.

Remodeling: Smaller Project

Example 3 calculates incentives for the remodeling of a machine shop smaller than 50,000 sq.ft. For this project, design incentives do not apply, but other incentives are available (i.e., Gas Heating).

These are just a few examples of the types of projects that might benefit from participation in New Jersey SmartStart Buildings.
