PROGRAM OVERVIEW
TEACH (Teaching Energy Awareness with Children’s Help) is an integrated solution from New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program that includes an evaluation of energy usage in school buildings plus “hands-on” tools to educate students about the importance of energy efficiency.
TEACH is available to all public K-12 school districts in New Jersey.

TEACH includes an engaging, in-school education about energy efficiency for all faculty, staff and students. Participating schools also receive a comprehensive Green Schools curriculum and energy monitoring instruments for student use.

Each school in the participating district is provided with an energy use and cost benchmarking evaluation and report that provides each school’s national and statewide rankings based on energy consumption.

Participating schools ranking in the top 25% for energy efficiency nationwide will additionally receive a prestigious U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR® Award.
