Core Rebate Programs

What is New Jersey Clean Energy Program's CORE Rebate Program?

Small Wind Equipment Photovoltaic Equipment Biomass Equipment Fuel Cell Equipment

The 2008 Renewable Clean Energy Programs, including the Customer On-Site Renewable Energy (CORE) Program ended as of December 31, 2008.

The CORE Program is no longer accepting applications, but if you are interested in starting a renewable energy project please refer to information about the new 2009 Renewable Energy Incentive Program.

The Board of Public Utilities recently signed two Board Orders that provide guidance on how to proceed with commitment letters from the remaining 2008 CORE Rebate Program budget.  These orders authorize the Market Managers to continue issuing CORE Rebate commitment letters to all eligible customers in the CORE queues until the earlier of 1) 90 days from the date the Order was signed or 2) until all of the remaining 2008 funds have been committed for each budget category. The residential rebate rates will remain unchanged both for residential projects that have already received a rebate commitment letter (these will be paid at the rate that was provided in their rebate commitment letters), and for projects that receive rebate commitments with the remaining 2008 funds.  The Board Order further describes that any uncommitted funds in any of the budget categories will be carried forward to the 2009 Renewable Energy Program for Customer Sited Projects.

Customers who are currently enrolled in CORE should continue to visit the website for periodic updates about the program.
