For Customers

Thousands of New Jersey homeowners, businesses, and municipalities are incorporating clean, renewable energy into their everyday lives with help from New Jersey's Clean Energy ProgramTM.  You too can take advantage of this program and realize tremendous savings in both energy and money.

Getting Started
To be eligible for a REMI incentive, you must begin by applying to either the Renewable Energy Incentive Program (REIP) or the SREC Registration Program (SRP).  REIP and SRP registration and enrollment applications both include collection of REMI eligibility information.  There are no stand-alone REMI application forms.

Which Program is Right for You?

  • RENEWABLE ENERGY INCENTIVE PROGRAM (REIP)
REIP provides incentives that reduce the upfront cost of installing renewable energy systems like solar, wind, and sustainable biomass projects.  Incentive levels vary depending upon technology, system size, and building type.  Learn about current incentive levels, participation information, and application forms.

    *  Non-residential solar projects larger than 50 kW are not eligible for this program and must enroll in the SRP.

  • SREC REGISTRATION PROGRAM
The Solar Renewable Energy Certificate (SREC) Registration Program (SRP)  is the process used to register SRECs generated by non-rebated systems on the SREC tracking system.  Each time a system generates 1,000 kWh of electricity an SREC is earned and placed in the customer's electronic account.  SRECs can then be sold on the SREC tracking system, providing revenue for the first 15 years of the system's life.

    * Projects being developed through the REIP do not need to enroll in this program, but will still be eligible to register with the SREC tracking system upon system completion.
