The New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes program was developed to provide a variety of options and flexibility to reach the above HERS (Home Energy Rating System) rating. It is important to note that each building upgrade used to achieve this rating does not have a certain point value assigned to it, but rather the point values are determined in their relationship to other upgrades through an integrated approach.
