- New Jersey Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®
This program offers contractors certified by the Building Performance Institute who will come to your home and identify sources of wasted energy. You will receive a detailed plan with recommended measures, costs and payback analysis. Low-interest financing and incentives are available.
- New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes
Energy-efficient new home construction that targets Smart Growth Areas. New Jersey ENERGY STAR Homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than standard built homes.
- ENERGY STAR Products
This program offers rebates on ENERGY STAR clothes washers, dehumidifiers, room air conditioners and promotes the sale of ENERGY STAR qualified lighting products through major retailers in New Jersey. Please visit our online store to purchase discounted ENERGY STAR qualified light bulbs and fixtures and receive free shipping on orders over $25.
Additional rebates are now being offered for the purchase of ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, and refrigerators while funds last.
- Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling Program
Residents who participate in the 2010 program will receive a $50 incentive for recycling their old, working refrigerators or freezers. Customers end up saving up to $150 a year on energy costs.

As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has recieved approval from the federal goverment to offer New Jersey residents incentives for residential customers with gas water heating that install qualifying solar water systems.
- COOLAdvantage and WARMAdvantage Programs
Cash rebates are available for energy efficient heating and cooling equipment such as central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers or water heaters.
As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has received approval from the federal government to offer New Jersey residents additional incentives on high efficiency heating and cooling equipment.
- Community Partners Initiative
Offers communities a forum to participate in statewide clean energy campaigns to educate and help enroll residents, businesses, and municipalities in New Jersey's Clean Energy programs and take advantage of valuable technical assistance and financial incentives. Community Partners receive support in their efforts to set clean energy goals, develop outreach plans, and educate residents about the economic and environmental benefits of clean energy and simple climate change solutions.
- New Jersey Comfort Partners
This is a free energy saving and energy education program for qualified low-income customers. We partner with you to help you save energy and money and make your home more energy efficient. Certified Building Performance Institute contractors will install energy saving measures in your home to help lower your energy bills. You will also be taught new ways to conserve energy and how to create an Action Plan to support your efforts.
- Home Energy Analysis
Tools are available from your NJ electric or gas utilities to help you understand home energy use and take steps to save energy and save money.
