Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Group

Webinar - May 4, 2020; 1:30pm - 4:30pm

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities solicited stakeholder input on New Jersey’s energy efficiency transition through an Equity Working Group webinar on May 4, 2020. The meeting consisted of two panel sessions in which stakeholder panelists presented on topics of equity in energy efficiency. There was also a presentation on the results of the demographic analysis conducted by New Jersey’s public utilities.

Each panel session included a period for open discussion. The first panel focused on current energy efficiency programs for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households and challenges to participation. The second panel focused on reducing the barriers to participation in energy efficiency programs for LMI households, including opportunities for improvements and enhancements to energy efficiency programs. The Public Notice for this meeting is available here.

Stakeholders interested in submitting comments, regardless of whether they attend the public meeting, may file written comments with the Secretary of the Board of Public Utilities at EnergyEfficiency@bpu.nj.gov in PDF or Word format. All comments must have been received on or before the comment deadline of 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, May 15, 2020. This file contains a record of all comments received.

All questions should be directed to EnergyEfficiency@bpu.nj.gov.
