Utility customers who purchased appliances or HVAC equipment prior to July 1, 2021 may still submit their projects to NJCEP’s Appliance Rebate Program or the WARM/COOL Advantage Program for heating, cooling, and water heating equipment. Customers will have 180 days to submit their rebate. Appliances and HVAC equipment purchased on or after July 1, 2021 will be eligible for utility-run rebate programs.

The Appliance Recycling Program will no longer be available beginning July 1, 2021. All appliance pick-ups through NJCEP must be completed by June 30, 2021. Please contact your utility for more information about available recycling programs if you are unable to schedule a Recycling Pickup before June 30, 2021. 

 

  • HOME PERFORMANCE WITH ENERGY STAR®

    This program offers contractors certified by the Building Performance Institute who will come to your home and identify sources of wasted energy. You will receive a detailed plan with recommended measures, costs and payback analysis. Generous low-interest financing and incentives are available. 

  • RESIDENTIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION

    Homes under the Residential New Construction Program are at least 15 - 50% more energy efficient than standard built homes. These homes are more comfortable, safe, affordable, have a higher resale value and easier to maintain.

  • MULTIFAMILY PROGRAM

    The Multifamily Program is an energy efficiency incentive program that provides a single point of entry for all eligible multifamily residential facilities applying for incentives through New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program. Incentive opportunities are defined by the needs and scope of each project. There are simple rebates available for smaller projects, and incentives increase as the scope of the project and energy savings increases. Reduce operating costs, improve tenant comfort, increase building performance, and save energy in your property through our new incentive program for the Multifamily sector.

  • APPLIANCE REBATES AND LIGHTING

    This program promotes the sale of ENERGY STAR qualified products through major retailers in New Jersey. You may receive a $25, $50 or $75 rebate on ENERGY STAR qualified refrigerators and $50 or $75 rebate for the purchase of ENERGY STAR certified clothes washers and a $100 or $300 rebate for clothes dryers.  The program also offers rebates on the purchase of ENERGY STAR certified air purifiers, room ACs and dehumidifiers.  Retailers also offer discounted pricing on ENERGY STAR lighting, Watersense showerheads and weatherization products.  Look for the NJ Clean Energy Program logo.

  • REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER RECYCLING PROGRAM

    Residents may receive a $50 incentive for recycling their old, working refrigerators or freezers. Customers end up saving up to $150 a year on energy costs. You may also recycle a dehumidifer or a room AC at the same pick-up as the frige or freezer and receive $25 for each item.  There is also our Bulk Appliance Recycling Program for dwellings with five or more units.

  • COOLADVANTAGE and WARMADVANTAGE Programs

    Rebates are available for energy efficient heating and cooling equipment such as central A/C units, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers or water heaters. 

  • NEW JERSEY COMFORT PARTNERS

    This is a free energy saving and energy education program for qualified low-income customers. We partner with you to help you save energy and money and make your home more energy efficient. Certified Building Performance Institute contractors will install energy saving measures in your home to help lower your energy bills. You will also be taught new ways to conserve energy and how to create an Action Plan to support your efforts.

  • HOME ENERGY ANALYSIS

    Tools are available from your NJ electric or gas utilities to help you understand home energy use and take steps to save energy and save money.
